Monarch opening weekend 2007

Monarch opened three weeks late this year, due to lack of snow. But when it opened, it was after 70 inches from a storm, and the conditions were amazing! Scott headed up on opening day, which was cold with lots of snow. I motivated to join him for the second day, and we had an amazing day. Some additional fresh snow during the night, bottomless untracked powder in spots. We both rode snowboards on hardboots, Scott the Prior 4WD and I the Prior Powstick. Our form wasn't particularly good, it was the beginning of the season and somewhat challenging conditions, but we had a great time!
