From my TripAdvisor review: We spent a day at the Winter Sports Complex, mainly to take the luge class. Apparently there are only three luge complexes in the USA, and this is the ONLY ONE open to the public. Courses are offered a few times a day, weekends only, in four hour blocks. Depending on how many people are in the class you may get fewer or more runs...
The course starts with a brief orientation: helmet fitting, elbow pads (to protect jackets), and luge positions and techniques. Then it's all fun -- carry the 40-50lb sled up a series of steps halfway up the hill, get in the starting gate, and go! Very fun, I would say very safe, and it's quite a rush.

After we got 6 six runs in a boy scout troop showed up and it got a bit crowded -- longer waits for the runs. We left the luge and went for a beautiful 5K skate ski through the woods -- there is a 2.5K trail, a 5K, and an uphill loop. All trails can be connected to make for a longer outing. Rentals available.
